Nikias Diamond is a family-owned and operated construction company proudly based in Canberra. With deep local knowledge and decades of industry experience, the team delivers projects that are distinctive in character while remaining sympathetic to the ACT and its surrounding regions.
Founded on the vision of Director Dino Nikias, who has been a respected contributor to the ACT property development and construction industry since the 1960s, the company continues to build on a legacy of quality, integrity and long-term relationships.
Nikias Diamond provides comprehensive construction and project management services across new builds, refurbishments, rebuilds, restorations and fit-outs. The company's diverse portfolio spans the commercial, residential, government, private, hospitality and retail sectors, bringing expertise across every stage of the construction process—from traffic management and site logistics to the implementation of safe and environmentally responsible construction practices.
1960s
Nikias Property Group Pty Ltd is formed - responsible for management of approximately $100 million in commercial property. This company ceased to manage property construction following the 2003 restructure.
2003
Nikias Diamond Property Developments Pty Ltd, trading as Nikias Diamond - is established in 2003 following George Diamond’s entry into the business. This is the company responsible for the construction and management of our current construction projects.
2019
Bronte Group Pty Ltd is formed - a collaboration of over 100 years’ experience in the real estate, building and property industries. Bronte Group is the project management and delivery arm of the business with management across the diverse projects the group undertakes.

Dino Nikias, founder of the Nikias Group, brings over 60 years of experience in the Canberra building industry. His sound leadership and commitment to excellence in workmanship have earned him a strong reputation in the building sector and wider community. His intuitive understanding of the building industry and property sector gives him an edge in being able to read and respond to the demands of the Canberra market.

Solai Hosken has been a key member of Nikias Diamond for over 25 years, bringing extensive experience across the commercial, retail, industrial and residential construction sectors.
Solai has played an integral role in delivering projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants and subcontractors to achieve successful outcomes.
His practical knowledge, collaborative approach and commitment to quality make him a trusted leader across the ACT and surrounding region.

Dimitri Nikias joined the Nikias Group in 1997, bringing his expertise in property marketing, valuing and feasibility. With nearly 20 years’ experience in commercial property, Dimitri has a depth of expertise that has contributed significantly to the company’s philosophy for quality building and has consolidated the Nikias Group of companies into a successful corporate identity. Dimitri manages the client interface, the design process, and development and building approvals.

George Diamond has a deep understanding of the building industry through the numerous large-scale commercial and industrial projects he has worked on in the Canberra region. George has nearly 30 years’ experience in the industry and has worked with major development companies including Lend Lease, Multiplex, and Iqon. He has been a Project Director on many technically challenging buildings which has enabled him to provide a sensible, structured approach in early design and cost planning.

Dimitri Stramarcos is an integral member of the Nikias Diamond management and team. Joining the company in 2005, he has over 30 years’ experience in the construction of major and complex projects in all sectors from office commercial, industrial, retail and residential. Dimitri is skilled in the many genres of the construction industry including the management of over 30 employees across multiple projects. Dimitri is involved across all areas of the construction process from early construction advice, Development Approval to driving the Building Approval and finally the construction and delivery of each of the projects. Dimitri leads a construction team to successfully deliver all projects at Nikias Diamond.
